Motivation by Mike Davis
Author of the Year, 2008
When I first started writing fiction, like most authors, there were a bunch of facets of the new profession I was blind to; some good, some not so good. One of those “unknowns” was the vast portion of non-writing time that would be consumed by promotion and shining one’s own halo. Like many, I spend as much effort promoting my work as I do creating it. So what does that have to do with motivation? Well hang with me; I’m headed there.

The Soul's Journeyby Angela Ashton
Does Karma dictate one’s lot in life? Is there really such a thing as Fate? The belief in the soul having lived many lifespans is not new to the Western Hemisphere, although Eastern culture is embracing and lending credibility to the idea. One in four Americans believe in reincarnation. If the soul is eternal, is it really that incomprehensible?
We’ve all asked ourselves things like, “Why does this always happen to me?” Or heard someone comment, “I always seem to attract the same type of person.” Or, “Don’t I know you from somewhere?” “What goes around comes around,” etc. Have you ever experienced déjà vu? It’s quite fathomable that we’ve carried this resonance through the ages of our soul’s infinite journey. That we are attracted to those distant time periods of which our spirits evolved. Think about it, do you have a favorite era in time? Can you visualize yourself prancing about? Is there a place you despise? A smell? A person?

Why Vampires and do they have to be naked? by Tracey Kitt
A lot of people (relatives in particular) have asked me why I write so much about vampires. I write werewolves too, but vamps seem to draw the most attention. At least, it gets the most questions. The truth is, I write what I like. When I was in school I read every book that had anything to do with vampires. Anything I could get my hands on that had vampires in it, I read it so thoroughly it could be considered studying. I also wrote a few short and semi-erotic stories about werewolves just for fun. Of course, they weren’t up to par with what is considered erotica now, but it was pretty sexy to me and my friends.
